Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Lending

Location: Kenosha/Racine and throughout Southeastern Wisconsin

Our client is an Illinois-chartered, privately held, full-service bank with 53 locations in Illinois, Florida and Wisconsin, and $4.9 billion in assets. Position Profile

In this newly created role, the Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Lending will grow an existing $20 million portfolio within the southeastern Wisconsin footprint with an emphasis in the Kenosha/Racine market but also stretching from the Illinois/Wisconsin border north to Sheboygan and west to Madison. The bank has a net commercial, new business annual growth goal of $10 million in new loans/credits. This lender will focus on CRE loans including term loans up to $5 million and development/land loans up to $20 million. The lender is required to employ a variety of business development techniques and sound credit analysis to serve new and existing customers.  He/she will be knowledgeable of commercial credit lines as well as a variety of other loan and bank products to best serve the credit and deposit needs of clients.  This individual will be active in his/her center of influence; continually building a banking trust in present and future customers.  He/she must be comfortable making business development presentations to a wide variety of business types and cross selling commercial/cash management products.

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate is a marquee type banker with an established, successful presence in the market place and a robust center of influence.  A proven commercial real estate lending track record, a minimum of 10 years sales and CRE lending experience including sourcing, underwriting and closing loans up to $30 million are required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline is a must.  The successful candidate will also possess a strong background in commercial credit analysis with formal credit training. He/she must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Strong business/sales acumen and a complete understanding of the art of making a sales call and relationship based sales with superb follow up are essential.
