Vice President, Commercial Real Estate

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin

Since 1921, our client has served local communities as a financial institution known for its tradition of stability and community involvement.  They have continued to grow their branch network, expanding their footprint throughout southeastern Wisconsin and a presence in Minnesota.  The Bank plans to continue to expand geographically to other communities and continue to be the premier community bank in all the communities they serve.

Position Profile

The Vice President, Commercial Real Estate will help manage and grow a commercial real estate base while developing and expanding relationships throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota.  The lender will focus on loans and other revenue generating products with a portfolio growth goal of $20 million per year.  This position is responsible for selling across a full suite of cash management products and services and maintaining personal involvement with key accounts.  The lender is required to employ a variety of business development techniques and sound credit analysis to serve new and existing customers.  He/she will be knowledgeable of commercial credit lines as well as a variety of other loan and bank products to best serve the credit and deposit needs of the clients.  This individual will be active in his/her center of influence; continually building a banking trust in present and future customers.  He/she must be comfortable making business development presentations to a wide variety of business types and cross selling commercial/cash management products.  The lender will join a team of 4 commercial real estate lenders and 3 analysts.

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate is a well-respected lender with an established, successful presence in the market place and a robust center of influence.  A proven commercial real estate lending track record working with a portfolio of at least $10MM, credits up to $5MM and a minimum of 5 years in CRE lending and business development financial analysis are required.  Educational requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline; an MBA is a plus.  The successful candidate will also possess a strong background in commercial credit analysis with formal credit training. He/she must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Strong business/sales acumen and a complete understanding of the art of making a sales call and relationship based sales with superb follow up are essential.
