Sales Manager

Location: Milwaukee Metro

Position Profile

This newly created sales management role is a key element in the company’s business development strategy. Coaching sales and marketing professionals, the Sales Manager will lead networking efforts focusing initially on the Milwaukee Metro and seven county regional market.  This individual will be an active community member with proven ability to build relationships with present and future customers.  He/she must be comfortable making business development presentations to a wide variety of audiences; both internal and external to the organization.  Proven ability to manage and support internal sales resources including: coaching the sales process, strategic account management, researching and prospecting new business, developing networks, directing marketing staff, contributing substantially to the RFP process and coaching sales people and operations staff in the areas of lead generation and relationship building.  This role will engage the company in the early phases of business development opportunities focusing on larger construction projects in the $25 million to $100 million range.

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelors’ degree in business, marketing or a related field. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales and/or sales management and demonstration of an existing or growing local network is required with knowledge of the commercial construction industry considered as a benefit but not required. Utilizing excellent communication skills, he/she will possess strong presentation skills, the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and build rapport and trust quickly with customers and colleagues.  Attention to detail, process orientation and excellent follow up are key success factors.  Our client is looking for a results-driven, team player who works well with multiple priorities, projects and stakeholders.
