SVP, Human Resources

Our client is a $600 million bank headquartered in South Central WI with offices throughout the Midwest.

Position Profile

This newly created senior level position will provide human resources leadership and foster a human resources strategy that is linked directly to the business priorities of the Bank.  Working closely with the executive team, the SVP of Human Resources will lead efforts directly related to recruiting, retention and development of the Bank’s employees. In the recruiting realm, he/she will lead the development of a regional recruitment strategy that shortens the recruitment cycle, fosters proactive candidate sourcing, is tailored to the level of professional being hired and ensures market intelligence in regard to compensation and benefits leading to the best possible offer and hire.  Additionally, the SVP, Human Resources will manage employee benefit plan administration, review and modification. The human resources leader will work directly with Bank Management to develop well defined career paths for each position in the Bank and carry out a strategy of coordinating formal staff development and training programs to support career development and succession plans. This training and development work will require partnering with outsourced providers as well as Bank leaders to provide employee education that supports the Bank’s business goals as well as the individual growth goals for employees.  As a process improvement leader, the human resources executive will be actively involved in reviewing human resources operations and recommending efficiency strategies which could include outsourcing activities to partners that bring best practices to the Bank.

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a successful career path including proven business acumen, working knowledge of the banking industry, the ability to partner with all levels in the organization, and a minimum of 10 years progressive human resources experience encompassing proactive recruitment, retention and employee development.  Exceptional communication skills and a service oriented leadership style are keys to success.  He/she will possess a Bachelors’ degree in Business or related field, with an MBA preferred.
