Position Profile

This executive level human resources role provides human resources leadership and fosters a human resources strategy that is linked directly to the business priorities of the Bank.  Working closely with the executive team, the Chief Human Resources Officer leads the HR function in developing and implementing key organizational strategies including: compensation, benefits, employee development, succession and workforce planning, employee relations and training and development.  In collaboration with senior leadership, the Board of Directors and the HR team, the HR leader will reinforce and continue to build the organizational culture that exceeds customer and employee expectations.  The Chief Human Resources Officer serves as the BOD Retirement Plan Committee Secretary and partners with the President/CEO in working with the BOD Compensation Committee to align compensation and benefits strategies with the long term mission and vision of the organization. The goal of this strategic total rewards and bonus program is to ensure market competitiveness in line with relevant trends and returns on investment. This hands on leader actively coaches managers/leaders and guides employee centered strategies throughout the organization.  This role has budgetary responsibility for the entire HR function and works closely with the financial and accounting team to implement, monitor and improve incentive programs.

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a successful career path including proven business acumen, working knowledge of the banking industry, experience with change management in a growing company, and a minimum of 10 years progressive human resources experience.  HR experience must include: compensation, benefits, incentive plan design, HR systems design and analysis, compliance, and HR policy design, planning and application.  Exceptional communication skills and a service oriented leadership style are keys to success.  Experience leading teams, partnering with executives, business leaders and boards is essential. He/she will possess a Bachelors’ degree in Business or related field, with an MBA preferred.
