Agricultural Business Banking Manager

Location: Clark County Wisconsin

Position Profile

This position offers the opportunity for an experienced, dynamic lender to play a key role in the growth and development of an Agricultural Lending team and its customer base.  The Agricultural Business Banking Manager will work with an established portfolio and focus on delivering agricultural credit to existing and prospective customers to continue to strategically grow the business. With a lending sweet spot of loans ranging from $50,000 to $5 million, he/she will employ a variety of business development techniques and sound credit analysis to serve the clients. This managing lender is responsible for selling across a full suite of agricultural lending products and services utilizing resources from throughout the organization. As the team leader, he/she will coach, train, and develop Agricultural Business Banking employees, increasing their product and regulation knowledge as well as their abilities to grow and maintain a portfolio of customers.

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate is a well-respected lender with an established, successful presence in the marketplace, a robust center of influence and the ability to initiate and develop prospective customers and cultivate current client relationships. A proven agricultural lending track record working with a portfolio of at least $10MM; comprised of relationships with companies with annual revenue of $1 million to $50 million and a minimum of 10 years lending experience are required. Experience serving the Mennonite and/or Amish communities is a plus. Sales leadership experience is preferred with strong leadership abilities in financial services sales and business development; and the ability to create an environment in which to allow for the progression of individuals and teams toward the achievement of their goals.  An Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline is a must.  The successful candidate will also possess a strong background in commercial credit analysis/underwriting and compliance. He/she must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Strong business/sales acumen, exceptional relationship based sales skills and superb follow up are essential.
